By setting the background to the same color as where the ad is placed you are allowing it to blend in and appear even more like the content on your site. As visitors are reading your web site they will come across your integrated ad and are more likely to feel that it is a viable part of your sites content and click. Modifying the background color of your Google Adsense ads is one of the easiest ways to garner these clicks. More clicks, means more money!!

By taking that one step further you can also customize the border color of the Adsense ads. Its as simple as changing the background color and is offered as an option when you set the ad up. There are two different ways you may want to approach doing this.\r One, you may want your ad to stand out and look like a menu block on your website. Simply set the border color to that of other blocks on your site and let Google populate your new menu with relevant advertising. Two, set the border color the same as your background color. In doing so you will cause the ads to not stand out as much and will look more like a part of your site.

To go even deeper and make the ads look more like part of your site, change the text and link colors to match that of your page. Again, this can be done simply when setting up the ads and will deeper camouflage the fact that the links and text are ads. Another tactic is to change these colors to make either the links or the text stand out and appear as if they lead to more important and in-depth information.

When employing one or all, or a combination of these simple effects you will be able to take your Google Adsense income to and further enhance your online business.

Enough with the disclaimers, lets get down to the business of making money. Google lets advertisers bid anywhere from a minimum of .05 per click right up to a whopping $100. It should be pretty obvious that youre not going to get rich running .05 cent ads on your site, but getting a few $100 ads, or even some $10, $20, or $30 ads cant be a bad thing, right?

Now the problem is, Google is pretty closed-mouthed about who is paying what for their ads, and there is no real way to determine which words pay the most per AdSense click.

But ah, far away in a parallel universe we find another Pay-Per-Click provider called Overture. It seems that Overture is less sensitive about releasing their top-priced words and anyone who cares to find out what web sites are paying for words and phrases can do so by simply using Overtures tattle-tale special pricing tool (http://www.pixelfast.com/overture/). And it couldnt be easier to use. You simply type in a key word or phrase and the tool returns a list of advertisers using that word and how much they are paying. It even shows you the actual ad.

Oh what a treasure trove of wealth-grabbing results this can be if you know what can be done with that priceless information.

Consider this possibility

Any key word or phrase thats worth big bucks on Overture is probably worth big bucks on Google as well, maybe even more, right? So try this experiment:

Enter the phrase SEO Services without the quotes in the Overture tool (http://www.pixelfast.com/overture/). When I entered that phrase on the day I wrote this article, I was found a company called SEO Inc. that was willing to pay $8.01 per click, followed by SEO Advantage at $8.00, and Online Web Consultants at $6.50. Other bidders appeared below them in the $3.00 range straight on down to some who wouldnt pay more than a dime per click.

Now, if a company is willing to pay that much money for a click on Overture, it is probably willing to pay that or more on Google. Even if that particular company isnt advertising on Google, you can be pretty sure that the same key phrase is drawing near the same bid price from other companies who do advertise on Google. So what that means is there is no way that you can possibly afford NOT to have some web pages posted somewhere that are targeted to those sweet-paying words.

All you have to do is use Overtures pricing tool to find the highest-paying key words that are related to your site and then optimize those words to start pulling similar ads. If all goes to plan, you can perhaps double, triple, or even quadruple your AdSense revenue without needing any increase in traffic or click-through rate.

One should never scare a user away with ads, using more then three ads per page.

When you place adsense ads onto your pages Google gives a rank to these with pricing from the top left to the bottom right. This means if your ads are clicked towards the upper left of your website you will get more money per click in the first through third position then in a click in the bottom right being fourth through sixth or seventh through ninth. I was able to double my profits by optimizing my pages and removing unwanted ads.

It is true that by removing many instances of ads that you may get less clicks per page but if you are getting paid a higher value per click you should make more money overall. Removing the cluttered ads will also help with repeat visitors. This will ensure that in the future you have a higher chance that those repeat visitors will click the ads.

By doing all of these things you will not only enhance the experience for the users, but you will enhance your earnings per page. Once you master this technique you can improve upon it by using affiliate marketing as well.

Before we discuss The Pay Per Play program we need to understand its predecessors, Pay per click and Adsense. There have been many advertising methods invented for the internet because of its user interaction with the target audience. Lets face it, pay per click would not have been possible offline. This interaction between the target audience and the service provider or product developer is very advantageous.

Automation also gave this advertising medium more appeal to the providers who were faced with running a small staffed company with over a million customers. This automation allowed the ads to be quite targeted to the browser depending on IP address and website content which the browser was trying to read.

The ads were not suppose to be obstructive to the website visitor and offer more information to them after they have read most of the content on the webpage.

The first draw backs to Adsense and Pay per click was the website visitor had to click on one of the adverts for the publisher (website owner displaying the advert) to earn any revenue. The second draw back was that the ad drew the visitor away from the publishers website and frequently ended up with an fed up website visitor who would never return to the original publisher unless there was great content or cash incentives.

This worked well for the advertiser and not for the publisher who was giving away high volume traffic for a small remuneration per person.

These problems were tackled when developing the Pay per play program. Pay per play is what the website publisher was looking for when they signed up for Adsense adverts since their inception. The publishers desperately need targeted, professional adverts that did not hand over their traffic for peanuts and irritate their website visitors. It used to be a big factor where the adsense was located on the publishers website to improve conversion rate to 20 percent (meaning for every 5 visitors only 1 may click on one of the Adsense links); but now it will be moot.

Good content guaranteed repeat visits and possible higher Adsense click conversion rate. But it was not scientific by any stretch of the imagination. With pay per play this hurdle is obliterated by starting the advert each time the website is uploaded. This translates to 100% conversion.

Ten thousand visitors will generate ten thousand 5 second audio plays which the publisher claims 25% directly from the advertising budget of that month. It is quite simple but the implications are very lucrative.

For example in the past to calculate the advertising revenue needed to pay for more visitors; the publisher would have had to factor in the current conversion rate of his visitors into all his calculations. This rate was only more accurate after trial and error, very expensive trial and error.

After arriving at an average rate of 20% (very high) conversion the publisher would know that buying an extra 10 000 visitors to his website about 2000 visitors may click one of the adsense ads earning him advertising revenue. This made paying for traffic very costly and tricky without testing, unlimited funding and patience.

These 2000 people who acted by clicking on the adsense would have also been ideal candidates to buy or sign up for a newsletter. But unfortunately they were lead away to over websites with very little hope of returning.

Most webmasters building adsense sites often ask what is the best adsense template format? Well, this article attempts to revealed the secret of the best adsense template format.

The best adsense template format should be simple. Forget about what these adsense gurus told you. In almost any niche you build your adsense sites, simple sites or blogs are the best.

Heres how a simple adsense site should look like. The top part should have an header or a title, either one will do fine. Then right under the heading, insert an adlink. The important is to make sure the background color of the adlinks is the same color as your webpage.

I use a two column design for my adsense websites. Particularly, the left side is larger than the right. The left hand is about 500 pixels wide and the right about 150 pixels.

The left hand holds the content while the right side contains the navigation links.

Usually, I will place a 336×280 block right at the top of left hand side after which the content follows. The right hand will contain the navigation links. Note that my navigation links are very simple, usually just the home page link and the articles links pages.

I will also insert a 120×160 adsense block below the navigation links.

A couple of tips here, do not use too much graphics. Usually one header graphic should be enough. I also keep my navigation links short and as few as possible. I only use 2 colors for my adsense template.

As you can see, I have position my adsense blocks in the top half of my adsense template since that is what you want your visitor to see when they get to your site.

By following the guidelines I have shown you as above, you will get the best adsense template format for all your websites.

According to research, the one place that surfers look first when they visit a certain site is the top left. However you can try different locations and track your ads. Your results will give you an idea of the best placement Again, Google helps you in tracking your ads .

To really start making money with Adsense, you should have a definite focus on what you want to achieve and how you will go about achieving them. As with any other kind of business ventures, time is needed coupled with patience. I have heard a lot about sites being on autopilot and raking in the moolah. I personally feel that in the long run it will not work. There is just too much competition out there and if you want to be successful you will have to constantly innovate to attract more visitors to your site and ultimately earning Adsense revenue.
