Creating Traffic To Your Website

People are always asking how do I create more traffic to my website. They think that all they have to do is a build a website and traffic will come. Unfortunately with so much to see and do on the internet, your site will get lost unless you activately promote it.

First you need to understand how search engines index. I use Google because over 50% of the population uses it. Search engines are very important to getting users to find your site.

Basically the more important your site is, the higher the page ranking is. What does this mean? It means the more Google thinks your site is popular, or important, the closer you are when someone searches specific keywords.

How do you get your site to be important? You need links. Link backs are the #1 way to get ahead in a search engine.

Basically this means you need to find as many websites to submit your link too as possible. If you do a good job, within 48 hours your website should be on the first page of a search engine.

You can submit your website to directories, search engines, and so much more.

My favourite ways to generate traffic: writing articles and submitting them to databases, writing press releases, and just promoting my site to everything I can.

The more links back to your site, the more important it is. So plaster your URL everywhere.
