Traffic Building With Articles For Responsive Subscribers
Article marketing is one of my favorite ways to gain traffic and subscribers. One of the really nice things about article marketing is that the subscribers you gain via article marketing tend to be very highly targeted.
When I first got started in internet marketing, I did lots of crazy amateur things to get traffic. I am almost embarrassed to admit what I fell for. OK, I will! I bought traffic, guaranteed traffic, exit traffic, expired domain traffic, safelist traffic, subscribed to viral list builders just about everything wrong! I also bought some Adsense traffic not the best move for a beginner, but I did get some subscribers. But the problem was, nobody and I mean just about nobody bought anything.
But what happened that was truly incredible to me was that I stumbled on article marketing. And when I say I stumbled on it, I mean that. Because I just did it at first to get the backlinks. Because I had read that that would work, and I would get a high ranking with Google. So that is what I did. Wrote a few articles, submitted to like 100 directories and I got what I wanted a couple of #1 spots in Google and Yahoo. But very little traffic they were low volume keywords. So article marketing was good for me right off the bat.
But what was the best about article marketing was the direct traffic I received via article marketing and very targeted traffic at that.
